Review by hotel critic
My recent stay at the Santa Sophia Hotel in Istanbul was an absolute delight, perfectly combining comfort and history. Nestled in the heart of Sultanahmet, I was just a five-minute walk from architectural marvels like the Hagia Sophia and Blue Mosque, making it a dream locale for an art historian like myself. Upon arrival, I was graciously upgraded to a spacious room, complete with luxurious Lvert Bvlgari toiletries and a well-equipped working desk that made my business tasks a breeze. The breakfast spread at Sophia Pita restaurant was a highlight for me and my travel companions, featuring a delightful mix of local flavors and international favorites, including fresh cheeses, homemade jams, and perfectly cooked pancakes—oh. With seamless WiFi and proximity to public transport, I felt well-connected during my trip, which is essential for both leisure and business travelers. I wholeheartedly recommend the Santa Sophia Hotel for anyone looking to feel immersed in Istanbul's rich cultural tapestry while enjoying modern comforts. I can't wait to return, perhaps with a few fellow historians for a deeper exploration of this beautiful city!
